We’re back!
Samuele is back from Italy, Kristina from Greece, Cheryl from Ireland and Ingela from England. The troops are gathered once more!
We had a magical summer at Hallwylska, Observatoriekullen and Parkteatern where we reached over 3000 people and we can’t quite believe how far we have come in the past six months. One of this summer’s most memorable moments was when we performed in front of 1000 people at Galärparken. We were expecting a sort of promenade theatre atmosphere with people coming and going, drinking wine and talking amongst themselves. What we got was 1000 people following our every move, all with their Shakespeare synopsis firmly in the hand, so as not to miss out on the actions and stories being acted out on stage. And then the roar at the end of the first night. Wow.
We also loved the elegance of Hallwylska and the delicate and intimate atmosphere at Observatoriekullen. The different athmospheres in every venue changed the rhythm and feel of the show. Hallwylska was like chamber music, Observatoriekullen like singing round the camp fire and Parkteatern like an arena concert!
Less grandiose moments? Carlo’s 10,000 euro guitar breaking. His dog Otto sat on it, here he is:
Today we met up again at Folkuniversitetet in our little meeting room. It was nice to be back! We would post a picture of us sitting there but we all looked a bit scary and tired so we will spare you. September is going to be busy but in a different way. Applications, auditions and general planning for our winter production which will open in February. We don’t want to give away too much yet but what we can say is that we have picked a contemporary piece, we will be joined by two male actors and we are talking to a very exciting venue right in the centre of Stockholm. Until next time….Good night, sov gott, a presto, ανÄίο, beannacht!
