Elisabeth Dahl graduated from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London with a BA in classical acting in 2003, on top of her training in physical theatre at Circomedia in Bristol. After many years of working as an actress in Great Britain, Elisabeth moved back to her native Norway in 2010. Since then she has devoted her time to directing, and training actors, along side her continued work as an actress. In 2012 she founded The Norwegian Shakespeare Company in order to bring Shakespeare to the Norwegians in the original language. ‘Shakespeare’s words, no matter how many times they are spoken, no matter when and how many times they are staged’ for good or bad – never seem to lose their power or ability to delve deep into the human soul.
